12-01-11 Division Two update: Costello's 'A' won the playoff against Cross Keys (12 Jan 2011 @ Brewary) and are crowned Div 2 winners. Peter Hill refereed.

02-01-11 Division One update: three remaining fixture to be played (see below). These matches will not change the position of the top two teams:

League Winners (Div 1) -  Red River , second place Costello's.

Div 1 Aggregates Winner -  John Reilly (Bar Conti) , 2nd Kyle Brown (Red River).

02-01-11 Division Two update: Result of final (rearranged) match: Peacock 'A' v Costello's 'A' [15th Dec 2010] is in! Costello's 'A' won 6-1 so they have the same points as Cross Keys at the top of the table. Which means that there will be a playoff (TBA).

13-12-10 Division Two update: one remaining fixture to be played: Peacock 'A' v Costello's 'A' [15th Dec 2010]. If Costello's win 7-0 they can take the top spot from the Cross Keys, but I'm sure Peacock 'A' are up for a fight! If they win 5-2 they will take 2nd place above Costello's 'A'.

9th Captains Meeting was be held on the 13th December at the Red River.

29-10-10 Division Two update: Cross Keys have played all their games and are top with 83 points. Costello`s 'A' are 2nd (77pts) with 1 game to play, Peacock 'A' are 4th (72pts) with 2 games to play!!

For Division Two the season is coming to an end! (20 Nov 2010) With only one match remaining it could be any of the top three teams that grab the Cup; Cross Keys (78pts), Costello`s 'A' (77) or Britannia (71). But hang on! The Peacock 'A', in 4th position with 68pts, have two games in-hand and The Masons 'A' have an outside chance, in 5th position, with one game in-hand...It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!!

Individuals (1st Round) takes place on 17 Nov. Matches will be played 4 down to 1 at neutral venues. Can Captains of these venues make sure that the table is available for use; see Individuals page.

Doubles draw (2nd Round) has been made, to be played 1st December; see Doubles page.

8th Captains Meeting was be held on the 8th November at the Red River. • Results of the Doubles Comp (1st Round 13 Oct.'10) were collected. 3 rearranged matches need to be played ASAP.

A new County Pool Team is being formed. The League will be run by the English Blackball Pool Federation following Blackball Rules. An introductory competition is being held on Saturday 6th November prior to the league starting. For more info click here.

4 Man - Prelims' draw has been made; see Four Man page. Div 2: The George has dropped out of the League because the Pub has closed. All points gained playing against them have been deducted. They did not complete all their games in the 1st half.

5th Captains Meeting will be held on the 9th August at the Red River. All comp fees to be paid.

First half of the season complete. In Division 1: Red River are 16 points clear but it's all to play for where 2nd place is concerned; only 7 points dividing 2nd and 6th place.
Division 2: Costello's 'A' are top with the Brit, Cross Keys and Peacock 'A' biting at their heels.

3rd Captains Meeting notes: • All captains to ask their Landlord if they have any restriction on young players entering their venue • Doubles Prelims draw was made • Draw for the Four Man (1st round) was made after the meeting, when George remembers if his team (Brewery) won in the Prelims he'll inform the Secretary!

May's Captain's Meeting (10-05-10):

It was agreed that all competition fees should be paid by the 4th 5th Captain's meeting (9 August '10).

18-04-10 The George has stepped in to replace the Sandgate in Div 2. Their first league match will be against Jefferson's 'A' at The George (Walney) 21st April '10. Furness Rugby will play them in the KO Plate Prelim's on the 5th May '10.

Div 2: The Sandgate has dropped out of the league because the Pub is due to close. Please mark all matches v's the Sandgate as a bye. Any team that would like to replace the Sandgate please e-mail the secretary (see above).
